Our new ‘small’ space has returned my Daughter to my side :D

No longer can she disappear upstairs to her room only to surface for food or water… it’s been absolutely great so far.  We’re so similar and make each other laugh.  She needn’t panic though, Bryan’s coming back this week to fit a door to her end of the boat so she can have privacy and quiet times when needed.

So, what have I learned today then?  How to empty my cassette loo that’s what! :D

Honestly, the fuss that’s made on forums about this job is way OTT in my opinion.  I pulled the cassette out, wheeled it to the car, and went to the waste disposal area.  Emptied it, gave it a rinse, and Bob’s your Uncle!  No mess, fuss or anything inconvenient.

I’ve also managed to register at the Oasis Dental practise which is just 1.5 miles from us and it was only the 3rd practice I called.  I thought I was going to have major problems but no, it was easy as 1-2-3!

So, here I am.  Lottie’s at school and Bryan from Myram Carpentry just arrived to finish off a few small jobs but I collared him to come back in the new year to build some shallow cabinets for the bedroom walls and also a mirrored bathroom cabinet.  I’m going to try out our new and amazingly brilliant Bosch washing machine when he’s gone.  No knobs or buttons, it’s a finger-touch control with an inbuilt condenser dryer.  If it’s as good as my last Bosch which I left in the house I sold, it’ll last me well over 10 years.  My last one was 13 and still in perfect working order without any breakdowns at all.  Now there’s a recommendation for you :)

Got a large log burning in the Squirrel and Muffin is curled up in his new bed next to it.  I’m off to make a cup of tea now – oh the life of the unemployed :D
