… I dropped my keys in the canal! :D
They fell out of my pocket whilst I was wrestling with a gas bottle that only just fits in the hole! Why did they make a gas bottle hold hole the same fookin’ size as a gas bottle? Anyway, no matter… fished out the almost floating keys and won my war with the cylinder. All is calm :D
Tomorrow the TV Satellite man comes… YIPEEEE

At least it was only your keys and you got them back. When Tickety Boo was launched, she had only been on the water five minutes, I leant over to fix bow rope only to hear a sploosh!. Bye bye mobile phone. Doh!
Ooops! :D
Hey Karen, happy Christmas to you in your new home.
About the keys falling in the canal! My friends who lived on a narrow boat for a year full time and numerous holidays had a wonderful thing that was attached to a key ring so that if your keys fell overboard you could “whistle” them back and they floated.
I will try & find out where they got it as I am seing them on Monday evening.
Love to all
Hilary
That would be brilliant, thank you :)
And hoping you have a fab Christmas too :D
At least it was only keys that went in.
At the last tally we have lost two wallets and two sets of car keys along with a couple of phones. Floating keyrings are a must but make sure you dont add too much weight or they dont float 8O
I’ve got a big cork ball… but it was too heavy. The ball floated but submerged in 2 foot of water. Luckily not too deep and I was able to retrieve them. Key’s now split up :)
Learning curve and I’m loving it! Even the emptying of the cassette loo. I feel liberated :-)
