2nd Day at -5!
Woke up this morning and it was -5 outside. The marina is completely frozen over and the poor old ducks are skating instead of swimming. We fed them some warm soaked bread and they were grateful.
Luckily I’d filled the water tank yesterday because today all the taps are frozen.
Off out in a minute into the twinkling icy outside to purchase coal and logs for the stove. With the added bonus that it’s only 5 days until the Manchester all-nighter! :D
…. 5 hours later …
I’m back. Laden with coal, logs and firelighters. There’s light snow smattering the marina that looks beautiful falling across the dim lighting outside.
We’re that toasty I’ve had to remove my socks and slippers! We all had a massive bowl of tomato and chilli pasta with garlic/chilli/tomato doeballs. Scrummy. I’m now relaxing in front of our new TV waiting for Gremlins to start.
Hope everyone’s safe, warm and dry. Over and out!
