My Oils Again

I had a visitor this morning; the Curtain Maker. She measured up and we discussed which windows would have curtains or blinds and the ones in the galley will have dummy blinds. The fabric is gorgeous. You’ll just have to wait to see them though I’m afraid. Hopefully not too long!

When she left I took the opportunity to affix a couple of my favourite oil paintings by Roybal (which after trying to find out about the artist found their mass painted in China LOL). Anyway, I bought them because the ‘did it for me’ so I don’t much care who painted them :)

I also affixed a loo-roll holder and a towel ring in the shower room. Is there no end to my affixing talents? I’ll have my own DIY show before long :D

As a surprise for my new bathroom fixtures I emptied the cassette again as well. I really don’t know why people make such a fuss about that particular job – the only hardship is the weight with my dodgy shoulder. I think I’ve got an impingement of some kind as I get a pain down my arm and my hand starts tingling. Will have to get that sorted before it gets worse. Osteopath, here I come :D

We’re still iced in and it started snowing again this evening. More forecast for the early hours too so Lottie may not have school again come morning.

Lastly, I’m going for an all-nighter tonight. No, not a northern soul all-nighter, a fire all-nighter. It’s built up, burning well and glowing red/white hot. I think I’ve got the vents just right so tomorrow morning will reveal whether my confidence is realised.
