Bathed In A Romantic Glow
My two oil lamps arrived and I’ve assembled them and am now bathing in their romantic glow. They really are beautiful!
The oil container holds a lot of fuel so hopefully we’ll go many hours before needing to top up. We’ll see huh!
Meanwhile, my electrician returned to fit my new ceiling lights. They’re a little clinical but are nice and bright. Plus of course they’re energy efficient! They’re not too aesthetically displeasing and blend well with the white ceiling. I’ll be giving that a paint come Spring and warmer weather.
I don’t use ceiling lights that often but when you’re cooking or need to have more light they’re just perfect.
I also had my stern gland repacked this weekend. That’s another maintenance job out of the way and one that makes me feel more secure from leaks in that area.
The snow has all but melted now and greenery has returned where a blanket of white preceded. At least the duck and swan families can now graze with ease.
So there you have it… I’m now logging off to admire my lamps some more

love the lamp – am a sucker for that type of thing anyway, Was totally childish and found myself giggling over your stern gland – thought you’d left all the glands behind in bournemouth
I giggle every time I say it too Sylvia
I like the lamp. Where can I buy one please? Thanks.
Yes, they’re super aren’t they. I got them from http://www.tradline.co.uk/ – you can see the details/prices via this pdf on their site: http://www.tradline.co.uk/PDF/Lamps.pdf
