Honestly, anyone would think I was going on a hot date I’m that excited.  At my age it doesn’t take much to get one excited :lol:

Just yesterday I was wallowing in selfish excitement.  It was the first time I’d lowered myself into my bilge… it’s a bit stinky in there isn’t it!  I had every intention of taking the camera with me but by the time I’d arranged the trap doors and got in I realised I’d left the bloody thing in my daughters cabin and couldn’t be arsed to haul myself out, put the trap doors back and retrieve the camera only to have to rearrange the trap doors and precariously lower myself into the dungeon again.  Maybe next time

If you’re wondering why I was risking life and limb it’s simple.  I needed to properly test the bilge monitor didn’t I!  Well, the floor looked wet but the alarm wasn’t sounding.  A swift inspection confirmed that it is indeed working and that no water had actually made contact with the sensors.  A triumphant sigh left my puckered pout as I made the accent up towards the safety of daylight.  It was quite an adventure! :silly:

Thanks to the owner of NB Willawaw I’m now the proud owner of one of his bespoke, hand-crafted, bilge monitors which I’ve recently had installed.

Basically, the monitor in the bilge, if wet underneath, sets of an alarm in the back cabin alerting me to a leak and allowing me to take appropriate action.

I’ll sleep better at night now :P

It’s as though a dark veil has lifted before my very eyes.  Spring has most certainly arrived down South!

For the last two days I’ve been drinking decadent Latte’s out on the lawn whilst listening to the quacking ducks, rare soul and gently lapping water around my boat.  I’m like a plant.  I so need photosynthesis and with the recent sunshine, SAD is now a distant memory.

Yesterday I was so energised I jumped into the car and came back laden with pots and plants.  What you can see in the photo set me back nigh on 70 quid!  It looked so much until I potted all the plants in 3 containers :)

There are two colour-changing solar balls in amongst my plants and this evening, after a day charging in the sunshine, we were rewarded with colour-therapy :)

Muffin disappeared for 24 hours and I was worried he’d met a watery death.  Still, being that he has his tackle ‘in tact’ it was more than likely a territory thing.  He’s only 1 year old and I don’t want to make him gay.  It’s different having females spayed as they retain their ovaries, but boys just aren’t the same being castrated.

Looking at this photo I think I’ll need a repeat visit to the garden centre for a little more greenery but once the annuals come into bloom (which  you can’t see at the moment) it’ll look absolutely beautiful.

I’m also wallowing in beautiful smells courtesy of two new Lampe Berger. I managed a £10 discount for buying two so feel pleased that consumerism isn’t all about the seller. Honestly, if you can get one, do! We’re burning Lavender for Lottie and Jasmine for me!

I’ll be away for several days now as I’m off oop North to the annual gathering of the largest soul weekender in the world.  I may come back with less of a brain than I went with.  Can I afford such frivolity?  Who cares :D
