It’s ok, I’ve replenished the gas!

Wouldn’t it be great if everything else in life was as easy as replacing a bloody gas bottle.  Anyway, enough of life’s adversity’s!

Since I’ve nearly been on board for a year I thought it’s high time I started to mingle with the muggles…. ex-home owners turned boat liveaboards.  Therefore I’m going to attend my first ‘boaty’ day out at the end of September.

The K&A Trust are hawking a day out at Crofton Beam Engines – End of Season Steam Gala and as it’s only a few miles up the road (although farther than reachable on the boat without time off work) we’ll attend via the road in the comfort and speed of my modern motor car :lol:

I enthused to Lottie over the amazing 200 year old original pumping engines no less.  Lottie said, and I quote “Mum, I’m 15.  Why would I be interested in 200 year old engines!”  I added that there’d be stalls where you could buy stuff but alas, there was no interest.  Well, fuck it… I’M GOING!

I do empathise with her though; at that age I too would have scoffed and given some kind of piss-take retort.

So, thanks to Spencer for the recommendation and continued service for my boaty things.
